Join Friends of LA River, Shine LA, California Native Plant Society and San Fernando Valley Audubon Society for a day of fun, educational, and impactful activities!
Multiple stations will be available for attendees to rotate through including weed removal, litter removal, nature walk, and exhibitor activities. Each rotation will be approx 30-40 minutes.
California Native Plant Society and FoLAR will co-lead the invasive mustard removal project, and share how its removal is vital to restoring California's native habitats.
The San Fernando Valley Audubon Society will lead guided nature walks through the Wildlife Reserve to learn about the local animals, plants and some history (binoculars provided)!
FoLAR staff will lead litter cleanup efforts around the Wildlife Reserve and areas surrounding the amphitheater (grabbers and other materials provided).
Additional event partners will host information and activity tables with handouts, provide giveaways, share resources, and include an interactive activity or table display.
