The ENC is so happy to be a new sponsor of The San Fernando Valley Girls Softball League. We have recently granted a Neighborhood Purpose Grant to purchase a scoreboard for the league. The board was very pleased to receive this thank you letter from the league....
On behalf of Gelila, myself, and the entire ESO Girls Softball community, I want to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire Encino Neighborhood Council for approving the NPG grant that will fund our new scoreboard.
This scoreboard represents more than just keeping score—it symbolizes the dedication, teamwork, and determination of the incredible young athletes in our league. Your support ensures that our girls will experience the thrill of seeing their hard work celebrated and their achievements proudly displayed for all to see.
We are so fortunate to have partners like the ENC, who share our commitment to providing opportunities and resources for young athletes. This grant will have a lasting impact, not just on the players, but also on the families and the community who come together to cheer them on.
Thank you once again for your generous support and for believing in the mission of ESO Girls Softball. We look forward to sharing updates and inviting you to see the scoreboard in action as soon as it's in!
With heartfelt appreciation,

The Los Angeles City Fire Department is officially adopting what3words as a tool to help locate callers faster in an emergency. Being able to locate a caller during an emergency is essential and the faster the location is confirmed, the faster help can be dispatched. what3words enables callers and dispatchers to communicate precise locations with just three words.
If you have ever tried to summon an emergency response from the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Area, local trails, etc. - you know how frustrating it can be to try to describe your location. You may be near the 101 and 405, while firefighters are exploring Lake Balboa, over a mile away. This app pinpoints your location for dispatchers to use.
