In-Person Q & A With LAPD Chief Of Police Jim McDonnell

Join the West Valley Community Police Advisory Board on July 9 as they welcome LAPD Chief of Police Jim McDonnell for a rare opportunity of an in-person Q & A.

You will also hear from West Valley LAPD Captain Brian Wendling and be able to speak with West Valley Senior Lead Officers.

If you are concerned with crime and safety in the Valley, you won't want to miss this!

This event will take place Wednesday July 9 at 6:30 PM at the West Valley LAPD station located at 19020 Vanowen St, Reseda CA 91335.

Parking is free at the station or behind the public library which is next door to the station.

Community Police Advisory Boards (C-PABs) provide community members, residents and stakeholders with a platform and opportunity to provide information, public safety and quality of life concerns directly to law enforcement. In turn, community members can advise their respective neighborhood and community with information received to better facilitate accountability, trust and progress. Each LAPD division in Los Angeles has its own C-PAB which meets monthly to discuss crime and quality of life issues and concerns. All community members and stakeholders are welcome and invited to participate.

Public Safety Special Meeting with DA Nathan Hochman & LAPD Captain Bland

The Encino Neighborhood Council is deeply saddened by the recent events resulting in the tragic death of two members of our community.

In response to concerns raised by these events, the ENC Public Safety Committee has invited LA District Attorney Nathan Hochman and LAPD Captain Michael Bland to a special meeting this Monday July 21 at 7pm at the Encino Community Center.

We welcome you to join us in addressing this tragedy as well as other concerns you may have about crime and safety in Encino. Let's get the facts and work together to keep Encino safe.

Meeting topics will include:

• Updates on the investigation from the L.A. District Attorney’s Office
• Insight into LAPD’s ongoing efforts and crime prevention strategies
• Opportunity to voice your concerns and help shape neighborhood safety policies
• Connect with fellow residents and strengthen community bonds
• Bring your questions, concerns, and suggestions for the Q&A

The more people attend, the more amplified our message of prioritizing safety becomes. We hope to see as many of you as possible in attendance.
