Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We invite you to join us for our next Virtual Wildfire Town Hall hosted by MySafe:LA, the Regional Fire Safe Council for Los Angeles County, taking place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM.

Why You Should Attend

If you are interested in funding opportunities for Fire Safe Councils, home hardening, and strengthening community wildfire resilience, this is an important meeting you will not want to miss.

We will be discussing new legislative initiatives and programs that could directly benefit residents living in wildfire-prone areas, along with updates on initiatives designed to help organizations like MySafe:LA expand wildfire mitigation efforts across Los Angeles County.

Key Agenda Highlights

Fire Safe Council & NFPA Firewise USA® Update

We will share progress on Fire Safe Council development and NFPA Firewise community recognition across Los Angeles County, along with a preview of our upcoming 2025 Annual Report.

Legislative Opportunities for Residents

We are pleased to welcome Eric Horne, California Director of MegaFire Action, who will discuss emerging legislation including SB 894, SB 1079, and SB 973, and how these initiatives could provide new tools and financing options for communities in wildfire-prone areas.

New Wildfire Workshop Series

MySafe:LA will introduce a series of local wildfire preparedness workshops that will help residents understand evacuation planning, wildfire behavior, and how first responders manage wildfire incidents.

Home Hardening Reimbursement Opportunity

Learn how you can receive reimbursement for installing 1/8-inch ember-resistant vent screens to help protect your home from ember intrusion. This program is limited-time funding, so don’t miss the opportunity.

Upcoming Wildfire Safety Fair

We’ll also share details about our upcoming Wildfire Safety Fair on April 25, 2026 in West Los Angeles, hosted with State Senator Ben Allen, Supervisor Lindsay Horvath, Councilwoman Traci Park, the Brentwood Homeowners Association, and the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Your Voice Matters

Residents attending the meeting will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in the public discussion.

Wildfire preparedness works best when communities are informed, engaged, and working together.
