ENC HOMELESSNESS TOWN HALL

Join the Encino Neighborhood Council for an important town hall discussion on homelessness. Hear directly from City leaders, service providers, and public safety officials about current challenges, solutions, and how our community is impacted.

Featuring a multi-agency panel including representatives from:

• Office of Mayor Karen Bass – Spearheads the City's homeless policy.
• HSH (Department of Homeless Services & Housing) – Introduction to the City's newest department dedicated to homelessness.
• LAHSA (Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority) – City agency coordinating housing and homeless services.
• LAPD – Discussing public safety and enforcement.
• LASAN (LA Sanitation) – Care+ encampment operations and hygiene services.
• DMH (Department of Mental Health) – Clinical and crisis response efforts.
• RAP (Recreation & Parks) – Management of public parks and facilities.
• Chrysalis – Empowering the unhoused through job placement.
• Special Guest: Tim Campbell – Veteran journalist and government homelessness accountability advocate.

This town hall is a special meeting of the ENC Public Safety Committee. It will provide an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and engage in a dialogue about homelessness—from public safety and sanitation to housing, mental health, and outreach efforts.
