Get Answers. Get Involved. Shape the Future.

Join the Encino Neighborhood Council for an important town hall discussion on homelessness. Hear directly from City leaders, service providers, and public safety officials about current challenges, solutions, and how our community is impacted.

Featuring a multi-agency panel including representatives from:

• Office of Mayor Karen Bass – Represents the city's overall homless policy and executive strategy.
• Office of Councilmember Nithya Raman – Chair of LA City Housing and Homelessness Committee.
• Office of Supervisor Lindsey Horvath – Oversees county policy on homelessness, public health and social services.
• HSH (Department of Homeless Services & Housing) – Introduction to the City's newest department dedicated to homelessness.
• LAHSA (Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority) – City agency coordinating housing and homeless services.
• LAPD – Discussing public safety and enforcement.
• LASAN (LA Sanitation) – Care+ encampment operations and hygiene services.
• DMH (Department of Mental Health) – Clinical and crisis response efforts.
• RAP (Recreation & Parks) – Management of public parks and facilities.
• Chrysalis – Empowering the unhoused through job placement.
• Special Guest: Tim Campbell – Veteran journalist and government homelessness accountability advocate.

This town hall is a special meeting of the ENC Public Safety Committee. It will provide an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and engage in a dialogue about homelessness—from public safety and sanitation to housing, mental health, and outreach efforts.

Regional Fire Safe Council Town Hall

Dear Neighbors,

On behalf of MySafe:LA, I invite you to join us for a very special and important gathering: the February 19, 2026, Regional Fire Safe Council Town Hall.

This virtual meeting will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM (PT). It will bring together firefighters, civic leaders, wildfire partners, and engaged residents for critical updates and forward-looking initiatives that will directly impact wildfire preparedness and recovery across Los Angeles County.

This Town Hall should not be missed.

Highlights from the agenda include:

• A Fire Safe Council and NFPA Firewise USA® progress update, including how neighborhoods can achieve wildfire-ready status
• A recovery update from Altadena and Pacific Palisades, including the remarkable student music resilience initiative in partnership with the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus
• Introduction of new, free home hardening compliance software for smartphones and tablets
• Details on March reimbursements being provided by MySafe:LA for 1/8-inch ember-resistant vent screens
• A featured presentation on FireDome — an innovative wildfire protection system designed to create a real-time defensive barrier around structures

This meeting represents more than updates — it is an opportunity to align leadership, advance mitigation efforts, and equip our communities with tools that matter now.
